The Holloway Family

Biography and Information

          The Holloway Family is made up of David and Kim Holloway and their two sons, Eric and Talon.  David Holloway has been in Gospel music for over forty years, starting as a young child singing with his mother and father, the original Holloway Family.  The family later on formed a group called the Soundmasters Quartet which sang all over the southeast during the early 1970s. 

            In 1980, David moved to Dahlonega, Georgia as steel guitar player and one of the original members of the Gold City Quartet.  He stayed with Gold City for a year and then decided to move back to Mississippi, get back into the education business, and marry his wife, Kim.  David played with various groups over the next few years while he and his wife worked as teachers.  He played bass guitar and sang with The Father’s Sons from Bruce, Mississippi and then played piano for Living Proof from Sulligent, Alabama during the 1990s.  In 2000, David formed the group Sold Out which later changed their name to Still Blessed.  David worked with Still Blessed until announcing his intention to form his own family group beginning in 2009.

            David and Kim’s two sons are both talented musicians and singers.  Eric, the oldest, is making a career as a band director and Talon, the youngest, is now teaching science in the elementary school.  Eric is a gifted saxophone and piano player.  In fact, he plays almost any instrument he picks up.  Talon plays saxophone and loves to sing.   Talon is now the sound engineer and videographer for Trace Road Baptist Church.  David and Eric are members of the show at the Bollinger Family Theatre in Bruce, Mississippi.  The family is no longer singing at this time, but you might want to check out the website:  bollingerfamilytheatre.com 

            The Holloway Family also owns and operates Diamond H Sound Recording Studio in Smithville, Mississippi.   David engineers and produces many of the local groups in the area and from surrounding states.
